DAVAO CITY, Philippines – Senator Ronald “Bato” Dela Rosa criticized the Philippine National Police (PNP) for their failure to locate Kingdom of Jesus Christ (KOJC) leader Apollo C. Quiboloy.

Despite deploying thousands of police personnel to guard the KOJC compound in Davao City for two weeks, Quiboloy remains at large.

Dela Rosa also highlighted the efficiency of the Indonesian National Police, who swiftly apprehended individuals wanted by the Philippine government.

Although he did not specify names, it is known that former Bamban mayor Alice Guo was recently arrested in Indonesia and extradited to the Philippines.

As a former PNP chief, Dela Rosa expressed concerns about the perceived inadequacies in the PNP’s operations at the KOJC compound.

“Sa paningin tuloy ng mga tao, mukhang may kakulangan sa ating mga pulis. Lalo pa na laman ng balita ngayon kung paano nahuli kaagad ng Indonesian National Police ang mga taong pinaghahanap ng ating gobyerno”

(“In the eyes of the people, there seems to be a shortage of our police officers. The news today is even more full of how the Indonesian National Police immediately caught the people wanted by our government,”) said Dela Rosa.

Dela Rosa is leading the Senate subcommittee on justice and human rights in investigating the PNP’s operations at the KOJC compound in Davao City.

“Isipin niyo, halos dalawang linggo na silang nag-barricade. Nakapag-detect na sila ng heartbeat sa ilalim ng lupa. Nag-implementa pa ng ‘whole of government approach’ noong naghukay sila sa basement ng school campus. Ngunit, hindi pa rin naging successful ang implementasyon ng warrant of arrest. Hindi pa rin makita ang dapat makita”

(“Imagine, they have been barricaded for almost two weeks. They have detected a heartbeat underground. They even implemented a whole government approach when they dug in the basement of the school campus. However, the implementation of the warrant of arrest has not been successful. Still can’t see what should be seen,”) Dela Rosa added.

Meanwhile, in his privilege speech during the Senate session, Senator Dela Rosa criticized the deployment of approximately 2,000 policemen to the KOJC compound to serve Apollo C. Quiboloy’s arrest warrant.
