VIGAN CITY – The authorities are currently doing a thorough investigation on the killing of a father in Barangay Nambaran, Sto. Domingo, Ilocos Sur, while his son was left with serious injuries.
The victims were identified as Geronimo Verazon, 46, and his son Mark Denver, 8, residents of Barangay Nagbettedan, Sto. Domingo.
Through the information gathered by Bombo Radyo Vigan from Police Master Sergeant Benito Ponce Jr., chief investigator of Sto. Domingo PNP, the victims were boarding a motorcycle going west when the suspect shot them.
Geronimo sustained eight gunshots in different parts of his body that caused his death.
In the initial investigation conducted by the police, there were no signs of criminal activities that might be linked to the victim aside from a complaint on allegedly beating his wife.
Recovered from the crime scene are three empty bullet shells of calibre 45.
