“The Paper Tigers is an action comedy movie that tells the story of three Kung Fu prodigies played by me and the other two actors, Ron Yuan, and Mykel Jenkins. Our characters have grown up to be like these washed-up middle-aged men who are just like one kick away from pulling their hand strength. So these men find out that their old master was murdered and now we all have to kind of let go of old grudges and find ways to deal with our dead end jobs, and get around daddy duties just to avenge his death.”

“Although it’s a Kung Fu movie, it surprisingly has a lot of heart to it and meant a lot to me. I really related to the character that I played. It’s a movie about dealing with the past. I think as we get older, there are a lot of things that we do that we [find ourselves] kind of regretting and that’s what this movie is about. Ultimately, it’s about forgiveness and family— a lot of Kung Fu, a lot of heart.”
