Just on his third NBA game, the second overall pick of the 2021 NBA Draft Jalen Green already showed the quality of a player, and he’s living the hype.
The 19-year old scored 30 points to set a new Houston Rockets rookie record along with his eight triples, the new best by any franchise rookie. They did lose, though, to the Boston Celtics.
But despite taking the L, Green put the league on notice, and nothing is more proud than his Filipino fans.
He tied the most 3s made by a rookie in that same game, set by last year’s top rookie Anthony Edwards of the Minnesota Timberwolves.
Aside from his hot shooting from the outside, his record-breaking game was also highlighted by two insane dunks made possible by his insane leaping ability.
Green was a highlight machine on his high school days, and Filipino fans loved him when he played in the country and put a show with his mean slams.
