Ibinasura ng Sandiganbayan ang kasong graft ni Lanao del Norte Rep. Abdullah Dimaporo kaugnay ng fertilizer fund scam noong siya pa ang gobernador ng lalawigan.

Batay sa resolusyon ng anti-graft court, nakasaad na bigo ang prosekusyon na idiin ang incumbent congressman sa reklamo.

Nag-ugat ang kaso ni Dimaporo sa maanomalya umanong pagre-release nito ng pondo pambili ng 10,000 bag ng fertilizer sa Lanao Foundation Incorporated (LFI).

“In this case, the Court finds that the prosecution has not presented sufficient proof to show that accused Dimaporo exercised manifest partiality and evident bad faith in allocating the subject fund to LFI Any motive of self interest or ill was not satisfactorily established.”

“The prosecution merely relied on its claim that LFI is not qualified to implement the project because of the latter’s financial and operational incapability having an equity of PhP 12,558.64 in order to impute bad faith and manifest partiality on accused Dimaporo in allocating the funds to the said NGO.”

Pinaniwalaan ng anti-graft court ang salaysay ng witness at state auditor na si Edwin Canos na nagsabing natanggap ng mga magsasakang benepisyaryo ang ayudang mga fertilizer.

Tiniyak naman ng Sandiganbayan sa Department of Agriculture na naitawid ang proyekto batay sa mga ebidensyang inilatag ng LFI.
