Hindi katanggap-tanggap at brutal na hakbang kung ituring ni Caloocan Bishop Pablo Virgilio David ang kinakaharap na reklamong sedition at iba pa, base sa alegasyon ni Joemel Peter Advincula alyas Bikoy.
Matatandaang inihain ang kaso sa DoJ, kung saan nagsilbi pang abogado ni Bikoy si Atty. Larry Gadon.
Sa mensahe ni Bishop David, nag-cite pa ito ng bahagi ng Ten Commandments, kung saan nagsasabing “huwag magbibintang at gagamit ng bulaang saksi.”
Kinuwestyon din nito ang aksyon ng pulisya na para sa kaniya ay “harassment” lamang na taliwas sa pinanumpaang “service, honor, justice” ng mga nasa hanay ng PNP.
Paniwala ni Bishop David, ginagawa lamang ito ng mga pulis upang maging katanggap-tanggap sa kanilang higher authorities, kahit kitang-kita nang “disservice, dishonor at injustice” ang mga hakbang na makakasira mismo sa mismong institusyon na kinabibilangan ng mga ito.
“SERVICE, HONOR, JUSTICE?
One of the ten commandments says, “Thou shalt not bear false witness against thy neighbor.” The charges of sedition being leveled against us are not only unjust; they are atrocious. They are based on nothing but false testimony. What motivates the supposed witness to give false testimonies is what in fact they should be investigating. The intention is obvious: pure harassment and an effort on the part of the PNP to do, not their sworn duty, but what they think will be pleasing to the higher authorities. They are in effect doing a disservice, dishonor and an injustice to their own institution and to the few remaining people of integrity among their fellow officers in uniform. Perhaps they should be reminded of their motto, which is summed up in three words emblazoned in big bold letters on their coat of arms: SERVICE, HONOR, JUSTICE,” buong pahayag ni David.
Si David ay isa sa mga kinasuhan, kasama na si Vice President Leni Robredo, Sen. Leila de Lima at marami pang iba mula sa hanay ng oposisyon.
Sa panig naman ng PNP, sinabi ni Police Director General Oscar Albayalde na walang kinalaman ang Malacanang sa inihaing kaso.
Malaya rin daw ang mga inaakusahan na sagutin ang reklamo sa proper forum.
