Hindi umano nawawalan ng pag-asa si Boxing Hall of Famer Evander Holyfield na mangyayari ang hiling nitong trilogy fight kontra sa dating undisputed heavyweight champion na si Mike Tyson.
Ayon kay Holyfield, nagkaroon na raw sila ng inisyal na pag-uusap sa panig ni Tyson at sa tingin daw ito ay matutuloy ang hiling niyang bakbakan.
“We’ve definitely had conversations with them. It looks like it’s going to happen,” wika ni Holyfield. “Let’s do it, baby. Simple as that. Let’s do it.”
Naniniwala rin si Holyfield na nais ng boxing fans na matuloy ang trilogy, kaya gusto niya lang daw pagbigyan ang apela ng publiko.
“That’s the only guy that I see that the people want. If you’re doing the thing, you’re doing it for the people. The purpose is the people because it’s the people that make things go around. As for just being him, if it wasn’t for the people who want it, I wouldn’t have said nothing to him,” ani Holyfield.
“I’m a very confident person. I think it’s going to happen.”
Una rito, sinabi ni Tyson na bago raw maplantsa ang naging laban nito kay Roy Jones Jr, kanya raw sinubukan kung makukuha nito si Holyfield para sa eight-round exhibition match.
Pero inihayag ni Tyson na hindi raw ito nagbunga dahil sa hindi pagkakasundo sa handlers ni Holyfield.
Matapos naman ang tapatan noong nakalipas na buwan, inihayag ni Tyson na bukas raw ito na humarap pa sa ilang mga exhibition fights.
