Boxing legend and former world champion Bernard Hopkins has his bet all-in on Saul “Canelo” Alvarez when the rumored trilogy with Gennady Golovkin turned to reality.

Hopkins favored the young and faster Alvarez over Golovkin while emphasizing an early bout stoppage.

“I think Canelo has the blueprint definitely from the second fight to end it early. Okay, you beat him twice; now you knocked him out the third time,” Hopkins said in an interview with DAZN.

Their first meeting was a controversial draw producing a rival between the Mexican fighter and the Kazakhstan native. A rematch was set where Canelo reigned over via decision.

Years pass by, the rivalry once again resurfaced and is awaiting for the nod to make it happen.
