Binatikos ng isang mambabatas ang ilang Senador na sangkot umano sa walang basehang pag-atake laban sa Mababang Kapulungan ng Kongreso.
Ayon kay House Majority Leader and Zamboanga 2nd District Representative Mannix Dalipe, sa panahon na nagnanais ang ating bansa para sa pagkakaisa at kooperasyon sa pamamahala, nakakabagabag aniya na masaksihan ang ilang grupo ng mga senador na sangkot sa walang basehang mga pag-atake laban sa House Speaker at kanilang kasamahang mambabatas sa House of Representatives.
“At a time when our nation beckons for unity and cooperative governance, it is immensely troubling to witness a select group of senators engaging in baseless attacks against the Speaker and our esteemed colleagues in the House of Representatives,” Dalipe said.
“The Speaker, in a gesture of goodwill and with an unwavering commitment to our democratic principles, extended an olive branch to our counterparts in the Senate, signaling a readiness to collaboratively amend our Constitution through a Constituent Assembly.
“Yet, this earnest endeavor to fortify the pillars of our republic was met not with reciprocation but with betrayal, as certain senators opted to wield their words like daggers, aiming at the very heart of legislative camaraderie,” he added.
Kaugnay nito, hinimok ng mambabatas ang kaniyang mga kasamahan sa Senado at House na magtulungan sa pag-amyneda sa mga restrictive economic provisions sa Konstitusyon sa pamamagitan ng Con-Ass.
Ginawa ng House Majority leader ang naturang pahayag kasunod ng claim ng ilang mga Senador kamakailan na ang kasalukuyang people’s initiative ay nag-uat umano mula sa House of Representatives.
Subalit ayon kay House Speaker Romualdez nitong Biyernes na hindi inisyatibo o nakialam ang Kamara sa isinusulong na people’s initiative.
