Mismong si Arnel Pineda ang naghayag na nakatakda nang simulan ang paggawa sa kanyang biopic sa ilalim ng isang American film production.
Ayon sa 53-year-old Filipino rockstar at siyang frontman ng American band na Journey, aasahan ang pagsidatingan sa bansa ng American filmmaker na si Jon M. Chu.
Ikinokonsidera aniya kasi na magpa-audition sa mga kababayang aktor na puwedeng bigyan ng papel sa kanyang biopic.
“I think they’re gonna start. Some people from Warner will start coming here. I think maybe with (‘Crazy Rich Asians’ director) Jon Chu and (‘Joker’) and (‘The Fighter’ screenwriter) Scott Silver. They might come here to audition actors and actresses that will take part in my biopic,” saad nito sa panayam ng Rolling Stone.
Una nang tiniyak ni Pineda na tuloy ang kanyang bagong biopic, kung saan noong 2012 nang matalakay na rin ang kanyang buhay sa pamamagitan ng documentary na “Don’t Stop Believin’: Everyman’s Journey.”
Naging sentro sa kanyang unang biopic ang mabilis na transition nito mula sa pagpi-perform lamang noon sa mga bar na nauwi sa stadiums na may mas malaking audience.
“What’s interesting about my story is that I’ve survived two coup attempts here in the Philippines before I went to Hong Kong for 10 years. I don’t know if he plans to tell what happened to me in Hong Kong, but I had 10 years there. He might focus on my love story with my wife now,” dagdag pa nito sa parehong panayam.
Isa sa hit song ng Journey ang “Open Arms.”
