ILOILO CITY – Iloilo Governor Arthur Defensor mandated a thorough investigation regarding the alleged rape scandal that happened in Iloilo Provincial Capitol.
The investigation stemmed from the controversial involvement of a 35-years old, provincial guard identified as Rowen Ledesma, where he was accused of raping a 45-years old masseuse inside the office of Iloilo 5th District Board Member Nielo ‘Bongbong’ Tupas, late night on Monday.
In an interview with Bombo Radyo Iloilo, Provincial administrator Atty. Suzette Mamon, said that the governor ordered the establishment of a fact finding committee to conduct an in-depth investigation of the alleged rape scandal.
Prior to the incident, the suspect is already facing a rape case filed by the victim.
Local authorities reported that the two were seen in a surveillance camera entering the office of the Board Member where the rape incident occured.
