A press release last February 5, 2025 confirms the cancellation of the super middleweight showdown between Terrence Crawford and Canelo Alvarez showdown in September at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas.
The press release noted that “A source has advised The Ring that the anticipated super middleweight showdown between Saul “Canelo” Alvarez and Terence Crawford is now canceled.”
Boxing analysts believed that Jake Paul will replace Crawford because the Jake vs Canelo will sell better than the Crawford vs Alvarez There are deals with Turki Alalshikh to stage the fight in Saudi Arabia that are yet to be announced.
It can be recalled that Jake Paul earned more or less $40 million to clash with Mike Tyson who got $20 million approximately. The real earnings are not yet officially disclosed as of this writing by Netflix
