As the war between Ukraine and Russia continues, Japan extends financial aid amounting to $5.5-B to Ukraine.

Japanese Prime Minister and President of Group of Seven, Fumio Kishida confirmed this move.

Japan hosted the Group of Seven meetings and invited the Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba.

In the said meeting, they agreed to support Ukraine and impose sanctions on Russia.

“I took part in a G7 ministerial meeting at the invitation of Japanese FM Hayashi Yoshimasa. We focused on everything needed for Ukraine’s victory in 2023. There will be rapid deliveries of weapons and new sanctions. Russia must realize we won’t tire of countering its aggression,” Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba said in a tweet.
