Tiyak umanong tatamaan ng sumbat ang law enforcers kahit sino pa man ang nasa likod ng pagpatay kay suspended Bureau of Corrections (BuCor) legal head Frederic Santos.
Matatandaang tinambangan si Santos ng mga hindi pa kilalang salarin, habang papunta ito sa paaralan ng kaniyang anak.
Ayon kay Lacson, posibleng ang isyu ng droga ang ugat ng pagpatay, ngunit hindi maiaalis na baka may mas malalim na rason.
“It is another big challenge to law enforcement agencies, including the Philippine National Police and National Bureau of Investigation, to get to the bottom of the case. The manner in which Santos was killed shows how cheap life has become in the government’s war on drugs, be it stage-managed or perpetrated by drug syndicates. Either way, it is on the law enforcement agencies to bear the burden of finding the solution to this impunity,” wika ni Lacson.
Una nang humarap sa Senate hearing si Santos, kung saan kinompronta ito ni Lacson dahil sa pakikisama sa Chinese drug lords na nagsasagawa ng pot session sa loob ng national penitentiary.
