Inaprubahan ni Pangulong Rodrigo Duterte ang rekomendasyon ng Inter-Agency Task Force (IATF) na luwagan ang quarantine classification ng Laguna, Iloilo City at Cagayan de Oro City mula sa Enhanced Community Quarantine (ECQ) papuntang Modified Enhanced Community Quarantine (MECQ) simula August 16 hanggang August 31, 2021.
Ang National Capital Region (NCR) ay mananatili naman sa Enhanced Community Quarantine (ECQ) hanggang August 20, 2021.
Samantala, ang Bataan ay nasa ilalim ng ECQ hanggang August 22, 2021.
Nasa ilalim din ng MECQ mula August 16 hanggang August 31, 2021 ang Apayao; Ilocos Norte; Bulacan; Cavite, Lucena City, at Rizal sa Region 4-A for Luzon; Aklan, at Iloilo Province sa Region 6, at Lapu-Lapu City, Mandaue City, at Cebu City sa Region 7 para sa Visayas.
Samantala nasa GCQ with heightened restrictions mula August 16 hanggang August 31, 2021 ang Ilocos Sur; Cagayan; Quezon at Batangas sa Region 4-A at Naga City sa Luzon; Antique, Bacolod City at Capiz san Region 6; Negros Oriental at Cebu sa Visayas; Zamboanga del Sur; Misamis Oriental; Davao City, Davao del Norte, Davao Occidental at Davao de Oro sa Region 11 at Butuan City sa Mindanao.
Ang Tarlac naman ay sasailalim sa GCQ simula ngayong araw, August 13 hanggang August 31, 2021.
“Also placed under GCQ from August 16 to August 31, 2021 are Baguio City in the Cordillera Administrative Region; Santiago City, Quirino, Isabela and Nueva Vizcaya in Region 2; and Puerto Princesa for Luzon; Guimaras and Negros Occidental in Region 6; Zamboanga Sibugay, Zamboanga City and Zamboanga del Norte in Region 9; Davao Oriental and Davao del Sur in Region 11; General Santos City, Sultan Kudarat, Sarangani, North Cotabato and South Cotabato in Region 12; Agusan del Norte, Agusan del Sur, Surigao del Norte, Surigao del Sur and Dinagat Islands in CARAGA and Cotabato City in the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao. All other areas shall be placed under Modified General Community Quarantine (MGCQ) classification from August 16 to 31, 2021,” ani Presidential Spokesman Harry Roque.
