Nagbalik-tanaw si Binibining Pilipinas Universe 2019 Gazini Ganados sa mga naging highlights ng kanyang successful at unforgettable reign.
Sa exclusive interview ng Star FM Baguio sa 24-year-old Cebuana beauty queen, inamin nito na hindi niya makakalimutan ng koronahan siya ni Miss Universe 2018 Catriona Gray sa Binibining Pilipinas pageant noong nakaraang taon.
“My most unforgettable moment was probably when I was crowned as Binibining Pilipinas Universe by Catriona. Knowing that I’m part of the sisterhood made me even more excited about my journey towards competing in an international arena. Besides that, I met so many people. I’ve learned so much culture from different parts of the Philippines. I’ve travelled. I was so busy last year. It was a fruitful year that I will forever cherish.”
Marami rin naman umano itong natutunan sa kanyang naging journey bilang kinatawan ng Pilipinas sa Miss Universe 2019.
“Besides all the glitz and glam, life can be simpler. After everything you’ve experienced, after every achievement that you have, the most important thing is the people around you that you met. You celebrate life altogether with them because truly, life is short.”
Samantala, inamin rin ng Filipino-Palestinian beauty na maging siya ay nahihirapan sa pagtukoy kung sino nga ba ang karapat-dapat na tanghalin na pinakabagong Miss Universe Philippines dahil magagaling, deserving at competitive umano ang mga ito.
Sinabi nitong nais niyang maging fair kaya hindi niya ikinukumpara ang mga kandidata. Kwento rin nito na ilan sa mga MUP candidates ay kilala niya at proud ito sa kanilang mga naging journey.
“They’re all lovely. Actually, I’m having a hard time who to cheer on to, but for sure, I’m cheering on everyone. I actually know some of them from Cebu, like Miss Mandaue, Miss Cebu City, Miss Cebu Province, Miss Bohol, Miss Davao. I know them personally so I can’t just take a pick on them because I have to be fair.”
Nagbigay rin ito ng mensahe para naman sa dalagang kanyang kokoronahan o sa kanyang magiging successor.
“Just be yourself, as cliché as it sounds. Know your core. Regardless of whatever anyone or whatever people say about you, if it’s not coming from your core, then it’s not valid. I wish and pray for her to have a fruitful year in these times of crisis, in these trying times. I pray for her safety.”
Nagbigay patikim rin ito sa kanyang mga plano kapag natapos na ang kanyang reign. Bukas umano ito sa mga oportunidad at excited na siya sa bagong chapter ng kaniyang buhay.
“It really depends on the opportunity that comes to my door. I’ve been preparing some new projects. Just wait for it. I’m excited for it.”
Nagpaabot rin ang reigning queen ng pasasalamat kay Binibining Pilipinas Charities Inc. Chairperson Stella Marquez-Araneta matapos nitong payagan si Gazini na koronahan ang pinakabagong Miss Universe Philippines.
“I wish to thank Madame Stella Araneta for allowing me to crown my successor. Without her approval, without the Binibining Pilipinas Charities, without their approval, I will not be here, and I would not come full circle with my reign, to pass on to another queen. I’m very grateful for this opportunity— this once in a lifetime opportunity I will forever cherish.”
Hindi rin nito nakalimutang pasalamatan ang mga taong sumusuporta sa kanya.
“To my supporters, I call them my friends. You’ve always been there for me. I’ve been receiving strength and a tidal wave of support from you guys. You are my strength. I am so lucky and grateful to have you beside me, at my back, wherever you are, both and near far. I’m grateful for you. I love you all.”
Kokoronahan na nga ni Gazini ang kanyang successor sa finals ng Miss Universe Philippines na magaganap sa Baguio City ngayong Linggo, October 25.
