All-Star guard Damian Lillard picked LeBron James to be the MVP of the season if the NBA will give the award on its possible restart.
“Personally, I think this season it’s LeBron,” said the Portland franchise player Lillard.
“In my opinion he’s the MVP. His team is No.1 in the West, he leads the league in assists, and he’s averaging 25, 26 [points] a game. That’s super impressive man.”
James who made nine-straight Finals appearances was shut down in the 2019 regular season, his first year with the Los Angeles Lakers.
Taking an early break after failing to reach the playoffs, James and the Lakers reconstruct their line-up by adding superstar Anthony Davis and veterans Danny Green and Dwight Howard.
The Lakers sat second in the entire division before the season was halted.
The leading squad, Milwaukee Bucks led by the reigning MVP Giannis Antetokounmpo was James’ frontracer to the award.
