“The initiative is called Your 200 Pesos, kasi everything inside is worth P200. It was started by me and my girlfriend Michelle.”
“If I’m going to go out, I’m going to make it worthwhile, since we are all told to stay at home. I’ve had food packs from different people to give to all the medical and non-medical front liners I see outside. When me and my girlfriend Michelle posted it, a lot of people started [donating to us]. The donations started getting so big. We are showing the donors that their money is actually going to the right places. Kami mismo yung pumupunta doon sa tao to give it. These people need help because they have no job.”
“The people we find, we make sure that they really affected by the ECQ. We saw how many people were really affected by it. These people are the ones who worked day by day but they cannot work because they need to stay at home. We make sure that the right people received the bags.”
“We don’t know when it’s gonna end. It’s the same thing as this pandemic, we don’t when it’s gonna end. The ECQ got extended, and there are still more donations coming in. And even after the ECQ, we’ll try to continue donating, kasi it doesn’t necessarily mean they can pick themselves back up the next day.”
“Some people say you don’t have to post when you do something good. Me and my girlfriend believe the opposite. If you want to give and you want to show it, you shouldn’t be embarrassed. Don’t think of it as you showing off. Think of it as you trying to inspire others to do the same as you. As long as you’re doing good and your intentions are pure, there shouldn’t be a problem.”
