A 6.3 magnitude earthquake reportedly struck on the border between Costa Rica and Panama early Wednesday.

Based on US Geological Survey (USGS), the quake was reported two miles nort of La Esperanza at 12:23 a.m local time.

The epicenter was 44km (27 miles) west of the City of David in Panama at a shallow depth of 14.2 km (9 miles).
