Arestado ang nasa 524 na mga dayuhan na karamihan ay mga Chinese dahil sa pag-operate ng mga online investment scam sa Parañaque City nitong nakalipas na Miyerkules ng gabi.

Matapos na makakuha ng impormasyon sa mga Chinese authorities ay agad na isinagawa ng National Capital Region Police Office (NCRPO) at Bureau of Immigration (BI) ang operasyon sa isang gusali sa MIA Road.

Sinabi ni NCRPO director Maj. Gen. Guillermo Eleazar, ang mga suspek ay nagpapanggap umano na mga investors mula sa mainland China.

Nagkukunwari pa raw ang mga ito na ang kanilang negosyo ay isang uri ng call center company.

Bukod sa mga Chinese ay may mga Vietnamese, Malaysian, Indonesia, mga taga-Myanmar at Taiwan ang naaresto rin.
