Pumayag na umano na maging susunod na education secretary si Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte-Carpio sa kanyang pag-upo bilang bise presidente ng Pilipinas.
Ito ang kinumpirma ni presumptive president at dating Sen. Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr.
Si Marcos at Duterte ay ang kasalukuyang frontrunner sa quick count ng PPCRV, habang hindi pa nasisimulan ang opisyal na canvassing ng Kongreso.
Bago ito, una nang napaulat na nais ng presidential daughter na maging defense secretary kung sakaling manalo.
Pero ayon kay Marcos, napakiusapan niya si Duterte na hawakan ang Department of Education lalo na at malaking hamon ang kinakaharap sa naturang departamento sa panahon ngayon.
“I think I am already authorized to announce the first nominee that we will be giving to the Commission on Appointments when the time comes should I be proclaimed and that is that our incoming vice president has agreed to take the brief of Department of Education,” ani Marcos.
