On Monday, President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. paid a visit to the Las Pias City funeral of deceased overseas Filipino worker (OFW) Jullebee Ranara to express his condolences and assure her family that the government would provide support.
For about 4:10 p.m., Marcos came at Ranara’s funeral.
“I just want to offer my sympathies to the family and to assure them all the assistance that they might need for the family,” Marcos said
He asserted that it is the responsibility of the government to keep bringing Ranara’s wish for a better life for her family to pass.
Marcos stated that the Overseas Workers Welfare Administration (OWWA) had given Ranara’s family her retirement and death benefits.
He said that the OWWA had also offered burial help and supported the educational needs of her four children.
Meron kaming hinahandang scholarship…Basta makapagaral ng mabuti at lahat pa ng ibang benepisyo… That’s what we are doing for them,” he added.
