Madonna is back!

With her new album “Madame X”, the pop superstar fearlessly featured different social issues around the world.

The song “I Rise” was created by Madonna and TIME studios as part of her 14th studio album.

The “I Rise” music video showed global protests such as gun violence happening in United States, protests of LGBT community whose fighting for their rights, violence, calamities, and even the arrest of Rappler CEO Maria Ressa.

Ressa expressed her joy upon hearing her involvement on Madonna’s music video.

“Madonna and me? Wow! That’s cool! I watched the video. I think it’s interesting to see what’s happening globally, right?” said Ressa.

Maria Ressa’s harassment by the Philippine government became one of the most talked about issues in the country. The journalist was arrested twice by Duterte administration.
