Tiniyak ni incumbent Taguig City Mayor Lani Cayetano na palalawakin pa nito ang serbisyo publiko na ibinibigay ng pamahalaang local sa mga residente nito, sakaling palarin muli na mahalal bilang alcalde sa darating na 2025 midterm elections.
Ngayong araw naghain ng kaniyang certificate of candicacy si Mayor Lani na tatakbo for reelection.
Sinamahan si Mayor Lani ng kaniyang asawa na si Senator Allan Peter Cayetano.
Pinasalamatan ng alkalde ang lahat ng mga constituents nito na nagbigay permiso para siya ay tumakbo muli.
Binigyang diin ni Mayor Lani na hindi kagustuhan ng politiko kundi ang kagustuhan ng mga tao ang kaniyang sinusunod.
Aniya hindi dapat isinasantabi ang kagustuhan ng mga tao dahil dapat respetuhin ang kagustuhan ng kanilang mamamayan.
“They really appreciate their government, they appreciate the services, and the type of service that we give to our constituents. So that’s something that I am really grateful for and for as long as I feel the support of our people, I will stand firm in my resolve to serve my constituents with all heart,”pahayag ni Mayor Lani.
Tatakbo bilang running mate ni Mayor Lani ay si Arvin Alit na isa ring re-electionist.
Habang ang tatakbo bilang Taguig’s 1st and 2nd District Representatives ay sina Ading Cruz at Jorge Bocobo.
Samantala, inaprubahan na ng Commission on Elections (Comelec) ang pagsali ng 10 enlisted men’s barrios (Embo) barangays sa dalawang legislative and councilor districts Taguig City.
Ayon sa seven-man panel ng poll body na ang Comembo, Pembo at Rizal ay mapabilang sa First Legislative and Councilor District.
Habang ang Cembo, South Cembo, East Rembo, West Rembo, Pitogo, Post Proper Northside Post Proper Southside ay mapabilang Second Legislative and Councilor District.
Dahil dito, dinagdagan ng Comeled ang number of seats para sa Sangguniang Panlungsod mula sa walo ito ay magiging 12 bawat councilor.
