Freddie Roach did not hold back when he learned that his boxer Manny Pacquiao will be facing UFC superstar Conor McGregor for another crossover match in January 2021.
The legendary trainer took it to Twitter about his prediction of the fight even mentioning McGregor to his post.
‘If this is true, @MannyPacquiao will have an easier time with you @TheNotoriousMMA than when he fought @HitmanHatton,” Roach said.
The long silence of the Pacquiao’s camp decided to accept the match as the Philippine senator plans to give his earnings in helping his people suffering in the current pandemic.
Earlier this year, their possible match was brought up as Pacquiao signed with the same management handling McGregor.
According to reports, the talks have already begun and they are planning to hold the fight in the Middle East.
While McGregor displayed poorly on his first-ever boxing match against Pacquiao’s rival Floyd Mayweather in 2017, although he pocketed a huge amount of money despite the defeat.
McGregor already teased on Twitter to lure Mayweather as he said he won’t break many rules against Pacquiao compared to their rematch if will happen.
However, Roach is looking to go all out against the controversial fighter as he planned the eight-division champion to do the job quickly.
Remembering the Hatton-Pacquiao, the Filipino fighter displayed one of his best fights and knockouts.
