Magsasama ang Megastar na si Sharon Cuneta at ang award-winning Filipino-Canadian filmmaker na si Martin Edralin para sa Hollywood adaptation ng Palanca-awardee novel na “The Mango Bride”.

Sa exclusive interview ng Star FM Baguio sa director ng pelikula na si Edralin, ibinahagi nito na napakaganda umano ng nobela at isang karangalan raw na makatrabaho ang Megastar at wala na umano itong mahihiling pa sa paggawa ng susunod nitong pelikula.

“I’m very excited! Just the chance to work with someone like Sharon Cuneta — you know, as a Canadian to work on a film in the Philippines and in the U.S., I couldn’t ask for a better project for my second movie”.

Dagdag din ni Martin na layon nilang makapagsimula ng shooting sa third o di kaya’y fourth quarter ng taon.

“We don’t have exact dates yet, but we are aiming to start filming on the third or fourth quarter of this year”.

Samantala, ginawaran nga ang nobelang “The Mango Bride” ni Marivi Soliven ng Grand Prize for the Novel in English Literature sa 2011 Carlos Palanca Memorial Awards.
