Tiniyak ng PNP na mabibigyan ng due process ang mga police personnel na kinasuhan dahil sa nangyaring pamamaril sa apat na mga tauhan ng Philippine Army sa Jolo, Sulu noong Hunyo.
Ayon kay PNP chief PGen. Camilo Cascolan, bahala na raw ang Internal Affairs Service sa pagdetermina sa administrative liability ng naturang mga personnel at sa pagpapataw ng parusa sang-ayon sa kanilang panuntunan.
“I am giving the Internal Affairs Service the freehand in exercising its mandate to determine the administrative liability of these personnel and to impose the appropriate penalty as prescribed under PNP regulations,” wika ni Cascolan.
Una rito, inanunsyo ni Cascolan na sinampahan na ng kasong administratibo at kriminal ang mga nasabing pulis, na kasalukuyang nasa restrictive custody sa Kampo Crame.
Ito ay sina SMSgt. Abdelzhimar Padjiri; MSgt. Hannie Baddiri; SSgts. Iskandar Susulan at Erniskar Sappal; at Cpl. Sulki Andaki, at Pat. Moh Nur Pasani ng Jolo Municipal Police Station; at SSgt. Almudzrin Hadjaruddin at Patrolmen Alkajal Mandangan at Rajiv Putalan ng Drug Enforcement Unit ng Sulu police.
Maliban sa kanila, sinampahan din ng kasong administratibo ang tatlong mga opisyal na direct superiors ng siyam na respondents dahil sa gross neglect of duty sa ilalim ng doctrine of command responsibility.
Ito ay sina Col. Michael Bawayan, provincial director ng Sulu Provincial Police Office, Maj. Walter Annayo, hepe ng Jolo Municipal Police Station, at Capt. Ariel Corsino, hepe ng Drug Enforcement Unit of ng Sulu police.
Sinabi ni Cascolan, ipatatawag din sa Kampo Crame ang naturang mga opisyal.
