Miami avoided the wrong end in the history after taking Game 7 in the East Finals at Boston, 103-84, to advance in the 2023 NBA Finals.
Jimmy Butler finished with a game-high 28 points but Caleb Martin provided the biggest impact with his efficient 26-point performance.
The Heat won the first three games before the Celtics answered back with three-straight to force the best two words in sports, Game 7.
However, the host team suffered a major blow right from the get-go after Jayson Tatum twisted his ankle on the very first play causing him to play through pain and only scoring 14 points.
The win also served as a revenge for the Erik Spoelstra-squad as Miami got taken out by Boston last season in a Game 7 as well.
With the win, the Heat becomes the first play-in team to reach the NBA Finals where the no. 1 seed Denver Nuggets are waiting.
