The baddest man on the planet, Mike Tyson himself, has been rumored to train Anthony Joshua for his rematch against the new unified heavyweight champion Oleksandr Usyk.
It all started when Eddie Hearn, Joshua’s promoter, bumped into Tyson during the Alvarez-Plant undisputed middleweight fight.
Asked what he thought of training Joshua, Tyson is nothing but honored to do it.
“That’d be an honor. Not to fight, but to help each other – that’d be awesome,” he said.
Tyson also tackled that it is not over yet for Joshua and Deontay Wilder, who lost recently.
“He has so much potential. He should not be depressed, and he and (Deontay) Wilder should not be depressed and give up on the world.”
Agreeing to train Joshua, Tyson jokingly added that there should not be sparring between him and Joshua.
Will Tyson’s addition to Joshua’s training camp brings much success? We’ll see.
