Limang rescue and retrieval teams na binubuo ng Moro Islamic Liberation Front (MILF) at provincial government volunteers ang gumagawa ngayon ng hakbang para ma rescue ang mga trapped civilians sa loob ng war zone sa Marawi.
Itoy matapos mag deklara ng walong oras na “humanitarian pause” ang militar ngayong araw.
Ang nasabing mga rescue teams ay siyang papasok mismo sa ground zero.
Ayon kay Assistant Secretary Dickson Hermoso ng Office of the Presidential Adviser on the Peace Process na prayoridad ng mga nasabing teams na irescue ang mga bata, matatanda, babae at mga sugatan.
Alas-12:00 kaninang tanghali ng magtungo sa war zone ang MILF teams.
Sa ngayon hinihintay na lamang ang resulta sa ginawang aksiyon ng mga rescue teams.
“Our mission is to retrieve warm bodies. Our volunteers from the MILF will go to the ground, knock on the doors at the houses there, use megaphones and use the local vernacular of Maranao and bring them to the safe zone,” pahayag ni Hermoso.
