Sinimulan agad ni Miss Philippines Water 2020 Gianna Llanes ang kanyang duties and responsibilities ilang araw pa lamang makalipas ang Miss Philippines Earth 2020 virtual pageant.
Sa kanyang eksklusibong pahayag sa Star FM Baguio, ikuwenento nito na marami siyang mga plans at advocacies sa taong ito, kaya agad niyang ginawa ang isa sa kanyang mga unang proyekto, at yun ay ang pamamahagi ng relief packs sa Barangay La Paz sa Makati katulong ang isang youth led organization.
“I really love the glitz and the glamour of pageantry pero sumasali ako to use that platform to help my fellow Filipinos. So two days after I was crowned, I actually worked with a youth led organization Pantawid COVID Project. I’ve been working with them even during my pageant journey and we distributed relief goods to marginalized communities in Barangay La Paz in Makati. One of the candidates and I are also starting our own initiative that is in line with my own advocacy which is about national disaster risk education.”
Dagdag din ng beauty queen na matalik niyang kaibigan si Miss Philippines Earth 2020 Roxie Baeyens at well-deserved umano ang pagkapanalo ng pambato ng Baguio.
“I love her so much. We met at a local pageant. We live near each other dito sa Mandaluyong which is why in October pa lang, we decided that we’re gonna join Miss Philippines Earth together. We went to the screening together, and every training, we were there together as well. So with Roxie talaga, lahat ng highs and lows of my experience during Miss Philippines Earth, and there’ s one time na talagang susuko na ako. Roxie was the first person I really spoke to and she encouraged me and there was never a hint of competition between us. I say na if it’s not me who’s going to win, I want my pageant bestie to win as well. So I’m so overjoyed nung siya nga yung nanalo.”
Ang 24 year-old na bagong eco queen ay isa ring radio disc jockey at sumabak na rin sa ilang mga local at national pageants, kagaya ng Miss Mandaluyong at Miss World Philippines.
