Pinahihintulutan na ng US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) ang Moderna’s COVID-19 vaccine para sa ikalawang bakuna na nabigyan ng emergency use authorization (EUA) sa Estados Unidos.
Ginawa ito ng ahensiya bilang pagsunod sa rekomendasyon ng Vaccines and Related Biological Products Advisory Committee.
Sa inilabas na pahayag ngayon US FDA, sinabi nito na ang nasabing bakuna ay maaaring ipamahagi na at gagamitin ng mga may edad 18-anyos pataas.
“Today, FDA issued an emergency use authorization (EUA) for the second vaccine for the prevention of #COVID19 caused by SARS-CoV-2. The emergency use authorization allows the vaccine to be distributed in the U.S for use in individuals 18 years and older,” bahagi nang anunsiyo ng FDA.
Natukoy ng FDA na ang bakuna sa COVID-19 ay natugunan nito ang pamantayan sa batas para sa pagpapalabas ng isang EUA.
Ang kabuuan ng data ay nagbibigay-linaw din at nagpapatibay na maaaring ito ay epektibo sa pag-iwas sa COVID-19.
Kinakailangan ngayon ng US Food and Drug Administration ang parehong pag-iingat para sa mga posibleng allergic reactions sa bakuna sa coronavirus sa Moderna tulad ng bakunang Pfizer / BioNTech.
Gayunman ayon sa mag eksperto normal na umano ang ganitong mga allergic reactions.

I also want to thank the Moderna team, our suppliers and our partners for their tireless work across research, development and manufacturing of our vaccine,” pahayag naman ni Stéphane Bancel, ang chief executive officer ng Moderna.
Kagabi lamang ay naging televised pa ang pagpapaturok ng COVID-19 vaccine ni US Vice President Mike Pence.
Matapos na ito ay maturukan ay sinabi niyang wala itong anumang naramdaman.
Ayon sa White House, layon ng pagpapaturok ay para sa promosyon ng kaligtasan at efficacy ng nasabing bakuna. (with report from Bombo Jane Buna)
