Usap-usapan sa maraming bansa ang pagkamatay ng sikat na doktor sa New York na kabilang sa frontliners na nakikipaglaban sa coronavirus pandemic.
Ang naturang doktor ay si Dr. James T. Goodrich, isang neurosurgeon.
Siya ay nasa 70-anyos na at nahawa rin sa COVID-19.
Si Goodrich ay itinuturing na “superstar” sa kanyang mga kasamahan.
Ang tawag din sa kanya ay “master surgeon, world-class educator” at mahal ng marami niyang mga kasama.
Itinuturing din ito na eksperto at napakagaling ang “kamay” pagdating sa operasyon.
Noong 2004 sumikat ito sa buong mundo nang pangunahan ang operasyon sa twins na nanggaling sa Pilipinas na sina Carl at Clarence Aguirre na ang mga magulang ay taga-Silay, Negros Occidental.
Ang twins ay magkadugtong ang ulo o bahagi ng bumbunan.
Sinasabing magkadugtong ang brain tissue ng dalawa.
Mula noon marami nang kaso ng conjoined twins ang kanyang matagumpay na napaghiwalay.
Kaugnay nito, bumuhos ang pakikiramay at panghihinayang sa pagkawala ni Goodrich.
