Aiming to be pound for pound, another Japanese champ Junto Nakatani will go up to meet the Monster Naoya Inoue.

The Ring Magazine called Nakatani “the next monster.” Nakatani said that he would like to fight Inoue “at the best possible time.”

Asked why he likes Inoue as a boxer Nakatani said “His adaptability is just off the chart,”

The undefeated 27-year old Nakatani (27 wins- 0 loss) has the same power as Inoue based on his previous fights. 31-year old Inoue (27wins – 0 loss) however is also undefeated with undisputed records. Inoue is the only undisputed super bantamweight world champion.

It can be recalled that Inoue confirmed there are ongoing talks about Nakatani camp and his team. Inoue revealed it after his sixth-round win vs Luis Nery last May 6, 2024 at the Tokyo Dome.

He added that he will continue fighting intense bouts. This is a Four division champ vs. three division champion when the fight happens.

As of this writing Nakatani is set to fight against Vincent Astrolabio for WBC Bantamweight title.
