Malacanang admitted that some foreign countries performed wiretapping activities in the Philippines related to believed to be Narco list suspects.

Presidential Spokesman Salvador Panelo said that the information came from the wiretapping activities by other countries such as Israel, US, Russia, and China linking the involvement of some government officials to the illegal transaction of drugs in the country.

Sec. Panelo added that this is being used by law enforcement agencies as leads in the on-going investigation and entrapment operations because Philippine’s law enforcers are not capable of doing wiretapping and it is also contradicted to Philippine Law.

He also asserted that doing this act is not a bad idea and instead be thankful with foreign governments for voluntarily sharing the wiretapped information.

The presidential spokesman also admitted that they can not use these information to serve as an evidence in court.
