Days after the Miss Universe 2022, the new Miss Universe owner has to speak up and clarify the issue about the 16 semi-finalists and the crowning of, Miss Universe 2022 R’bonney Gabriel.
Anne Jakrajutatip emphasizes how the crowned Miss Universe won and it is because she is living her advocacy which is sustainable fashion even before the pageant, she is also excellent in the Q&A portion.
“She used and implemented also the Force for Good, which is sustainability for her fashion design. That is her profession so she’s actually implementing that, not just saying I’m going to do this campaign but she’s implementing this for quite a long time,” Jakrajutatip said.
“That would be the important or essential part to make the judges see her as the winner,” she added.
On the other hand, even the Miss Universe owner was surprised that the Philippines was not included in the 16 semi-finalists.
She was also surprised as her own country, Thailand did not make the cut, however, she clarified that she does not mean that those candidates who did not make it to the semis are undeserving.
“My goodness, everything just went upside down,” Jakrajutatip said.
“I’m surprised but I’m not shocked by the quality or by the high standard of the judges,” she added.
The 16 countries included in the semi-finalists were candidates from Puerto Rico, Haiti, Australia, Dominican Republic, Laos, South Africa, Portugal, Canada, Peru, Trinidad & Tobago, India, Venezuela, Spain, Curacao, USA, and Colombia.
