Albay Rep. Joey Salceda on Wednesday said that there will be no coup d’etat for the opening of 18th Congress during the State of the Nation Address of President Rodrigo Duterte on July 22.
Salceda said that Duterte already shared his suggestions regarding the speakership race, hoping that his fellow congressmen will follow the President’s order.
On the other hand, Anak Kalusugan party-list Rep. Mike Defensor said that they already accepted the announcement of Duterte that Taguig-Pateros Rep. Alan Peter Cayetano and Marinduque Rep. Lord Allan Velasco would be sharing terms as the House Speaker.
