The first-ever test of North Korea using a long-range solid-fuel intercontinental ballistic missile (ICBM) has been successful.
This launching of the missile was called ‘Hwasong 18’ and will play a big part in defending North Korea.
It is one of the advance and powerful weapons of North Korea.
Compared to liquid-propelled variants, these solid-fuel missiles are safer, and easier to operate and deploy.
“This is a significant breakthrough for the North Koreans, but not an unexpected one,” an expert with the Carnegie Endowment for International Peace, Ankit Panda said.
On the other note, Japan and South Korea detected this test and ordered the residents to evacuate to a safe place.
