duterte national heroes day

President Rodrigo Duterte “made up” to country’s heroes after skipping the National Heroes Day customary rites on Monday morning at Libingan ng mga Bayani, Fort Bonifacio, Taguig City.

In a photo shared by Malacañang Tuesday, President Duterte together with Sen. Bong Go arrived around 11 p.m., lighted candles and offered a prayer at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier wherein wreath-laying ceremony during National Heroes Day is usully done.

The president wore his casual shirt and pants, and a dark jacket as he performed his “own rites” while Sen. Go and military officials stood behind him.

Last Monday, the president skipped the customary morning ceremony because he was not feeling well due to the busy weekend of paperwork and private meetings.

Go, however, assured that Duterte is okay and there is nothing to worry about his health.
