BACOLOD CITY – The City Drug Enforcement Unit of Bacolod City arrested 8 people and discovered a total of P2.3 million worth of illegal drugs in a separate buy-bust operation in Negros Island.

The authorities arrested a high-value target identified as alyas “Buktot” and his companion.

Five suspects were also nabbed in Silay City, Negros Occidental.

Recovered from the suspects were 10 sachets of suspected drugs worth P315,000.

Meanwhile, a 37-year old man was also arrested in Dumaguete City, Negros Oriental after authorities seized 10 sachets of shabu with a value of P170,000.

The suspects will be charged with violation of Republic Act 9165 or Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
