Just weeks before his boxing return, Manny Pacquiao dealt with side issues as he filed a cross-complaint to Paradigm Sports for an alleged breach of conduct and breach of fiduciary duty.

“Manny Pacquiao’s cross-complaint filed [on Friday] reveals in detail the complete sham nature of Paradigm’s complaint,” Dale Kinsella, Pacquiao’s attorney, said in a statement as reported by Dan Rafael of World Boxing News.

“We look forward to exposing Paradigm’s conduct in front of a jury and recovering both general and punitive damages.”

Paradigm filed a complaint, a breach of contract, against Pacquiao that would prevent him from going inside the ring with Errol Spence Jr. on August 21st.

The rumored fight between the eight-division world champion and Mikey Garcia was one of the reasons why Paradigm sued Pacquiao in the first place.

However, the side of the Filipino icon is confident of countering the complaint.

“Paradigm has done nothing for Pacquiao. PSM has conned him and selfishly attempted to exploit Pacquiao’s name to expand its business to include professional boxers in addition to MMA fighters.”
