It was teased several times, it made progress, and everybody was expecting it would happen, but it didn’t.

Now, Manny Pacquiao answered why he didn’t pursue the fight with UFC superstar Conor McGregor.

The blockbuster fight was sure of being a head-turner.

With the Filipino icon recently signing under the same management as McGregor, everybody thought this is about to go down.

Pacquiao’s answer was simple: “For me, money will follow, but my concern is the fans, how to make the fans happy. I don’t pick a non-boxer opponent. I want to pick the very best. So that we can claim that we are the best,” said Manny Pacquiao,” he said in an interview with The Schmo.

This comment provided another shade to his rival Floyd Mayweather who fought McGregor in 2017 and earned tons of dollars.

Nonetheless, it is less of a concern to Pacquiao as he now shifts his focus on defeating the unbeaten and prime Errol Spence Jr. for the unified welterweight belts.
