Target umano ni two-time welterweight world champion na sunod na makaharap ang ilang mga bigating pangalan sa 147-pound limit, gaya ni Pinoy legend Sen. Manny Pacquiao.
Ayon kay Porter, bukod kay Pacquiao, nasa listahan niya rin daw sina WBA “super” welterweight titlist Keith Thurman, at IBF king Errol Spence Jr.
“Keith Thurman, Errol Spence Jr. or Manny Pacquiao. Those are all big fights that people want to see. If this fight goes the way we want it to go, those guys are the goal for the next fight,” wika ni Porter.
Samantala, sinabi ng 31-year old titlist na magiging “dangerous fight” ang nakatakda nitong title defense kontra kay Yordenis Ugas sa Carson, California ngayong araw.
“This fight is just like my very first fight. It’s just like my second, my third and my last fight. This is a must win fight and it’s definitely a dangerous fight, but they are always going to be dangerous when you get in the ring with the high-level caliber fighters that I fight,†ani Porter.
Una nang sinabi ni Pacquiao na patuloy ang mga negosasyon ukol sa posibleng rematch nila ni retired champion Floyd Mayweather Jr.
Ngunit ani Pacquiao, sakaling hindi raw pumayag si Mayweather, bukas naman daw ito na tanggapin ang hamon ng ilang mga “heavyweights” sa welterweight division.
