Magsasagawa ng multilateral maritime cooperative activity ang Philippine Air Force (PAF) kasama ang Japan Air Self-Defense Force (JASDF) sa Cebu simula Oktubre 2 hanggang 6 bunsod pa din ng patuloy na territorial dispute sa West Philippine Sea.
Sa isang pahayag, ipinaliwanag ni Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) Chief of staff Gen. Romeo S. Brawner na ang gagawing multilateral maritime cooperative activity ay naglalayon na mas palakasin ang international support at kooperasyon ng mga bansa para sa malaya at mas bukas na Indo-Pacific.
Tinatayang nasa 150 na opisyal mula PAF at JASDF ang dadalo sa magiging joint exercise na tatawaging 2024 Doshin-Bayanihan joint training exercises.
Ang maritime drills ay isasagawa sa Brig. Gen. Benito N. Ebuen Air Base sa Lapu-Lapu City, Cebu para na rin sa mas malalim na kooperasyon sa lungsod sa pamimigay ng Humanitarian Assistance pati na rin ng mas mabilis na Disaster Response.
Samantala, ang mga nasabing drills naman ay kinabibilangan ng mga simulated airdrop flight training, load/offload training, aeromedical evacuation exercises at ng subject matter expert exchanges.
