Inaprubahan na ng Sandiganbayan ang mosyon ng Office of the Ombudsman na nagpapabawi sa mga kasong graft at usurpation ni dating Pangulong Noynoy Aquino kaugnay ng Mamasapano massacre.
Batay sa desisyon ng 4th Division, nakasaad na hindi sapat ang mga ebidensya para ituloy ang pagdinig sa naturang mga kaso ni aquino.
“Wherefore, premises considered, the subject motion to withdraw information is hereby granted. Accordingly, the criminal cases filed against Benigno Aquino III are dismissed without prejudice to the filing of the appropriate charges gains him.”
Ibinasura ng anti-graft court ang criminal cases laban kay Aquino, kasabay ng pag-alis sa cash bond at hold departure order laban dito.
“Considering that the records of the present cases are bereft of any evidence that would merit further proceedings as against accused Aquino for the charges in violation of Section 3 of RA 3019 and usurpation of official functions under Article 177 of the Revised Penal Code, the Court finds that the dismissal of the said cases is indeed warranted,” ayon sa korte.
Una ng sinabi ni Ombudsman Samuel Martires na imposibleng pinuwersa ni aquino ang sino mang otoridad noon dahil siya ang pinaka-mataas na opisyal ng bansa nang mangyari ang pagkamatay ng 44 na miyembro ng Philippine National Police – Special Action Force.
