Hinimok ni House Deputy Majority Leader Bernadette Herrera ang Department of Health na bilisan ang paghahanap at pagbili ng rapid test kits na makapagbibigay ng accurate na COCID-19 result sa loob ng 30 minuto o ilang oras lamanang.
Sa oras na mabili na ang mga ito ay maari na ring isunod ayon kay Herrera ang mas testing sa lahat ng pasyenteng nakakaranas na ng sintomas ng COVID-19, lahat ng frontline health workers, persons under investigation, persons under management, at pamilya ng nagpositibo sa sakit kahit walang ipinapamalas na sintomas.
Samantala, punuri naman ng kongresista ang mabilis na pag-apruba ng Food and Drugs Administration sa bagong COVID-19 testing kits.
“With the new total of 15 testing kits for commercial use, the burden on the government’s ability to test more people for COVID-19 is now lighter. There would be more of government’s testing kits available for public use,” ani Herrera.
