Buong pusong tinatanggap ng Philippine National Police (PNP) ang paghingi ng tawad ni Ginang Fides Lim-Ladlad.
Ito’y matapos pinipilit nitong makita ang asawa na si Vic Ladlad na inaresto nuong Biyernes sa Novaliches, Quezon City dahil sa kasong illegal possession of firearms and explosives.
Pinigil kasi ng mga pulis ang Ginang,subalit imbes na maging mahinahon ay nagwala ito.
Dahil dito, sinabi ni PNP Chief PDGen. Oscar Albayalde na sasampahan nila ng kaso “obstructing official police procedure” si Mrs. Ladlad.
Matapos mabatid ni Ginang Ladlad na sasampahan siya ng kaso ng PNP humingi ito ng tawad kay PNP chief.
“I hope General Albayalde will find it in his heart to forgive me when his charming wife, Mrs. Albayalde, will also obstruct justice with her bare hands by blocking a police van because he’s imprisoned inside and she knows not where he will be brought, or what perchance will happen to him because of a state malady called evidencia plantida de pulis,” statement ni Mrs. Ladlad.
Tugon naman ni PNP Chief Albayalde sa paghingi ng tawad ni Ginang Ladlad, “As to the reported apology of Mrs. Fides Lim-Ladlad, I understand her deep concern for the well being fo her husband and as a Christian I am inclined to graciously accept her apology.”
Giit ni Albayalde na sinuman ang lalabag sa batas ay mahaharap sa kaukulang consequences.
Tiniyak naman ni Albayalde na mahigpit nilang oobserbahin ang karapatang pantao at dignidad ng isang akusado.
” The PNP thus enjoins all parties to seek redress in the proper forum, a right all citizens enjoy under our Constitution. We reiterate our mandate to serve and protect every Filipino, regardless of their political beliefs,” pahayag ni Albayalde.
