Tinawag na iresponsable ng pamunuan ng Makati Medical Center (MMC) ang paglabag umano sa home quarantine ng person under investigation (PUI) sa coronavirus disease (COVID-19) na si Sen. Koko Pimentel.
Para kay MMC medical director Dr. Saturnino Javier, hindi na isyu rito kung gabi pa nalaman ni Pimentel ang kumpirmasyon na infected siya ng COVID-19, dahil dapat na manatili sa quarantine area ang isang PUI.
“We denounced the irresponsible and reckless action of the senator. He added to the burden of a hospital trying to respond in its most competent and aggressive manner to come with the daunting challenges of this COVID-19 outbreak,” wika ni Javier.
Nasa walo katao mula sa ospital ang hinihinalang nakalapit sa mambabatas nang ito ay magtungo doon kagabi.
Nilinaw ng kampo ng mambabatas na hindi pumasok ang senador sa delivery area ng MMC.
Sinabi ng may-bahay ng senador na si Kathryna Yu-Pimentel na hindi totoong alam na ng kaniyang mister na may COVID ito nang sinamahan siya sa ospital.
Nagkataon lang aniyang inalalayan siya ng asawa para sa schedule sana ng panganganak (via CS), bagay na hindi naman natuloy dahil kinailangan na rin niyang sumailalim sa COVID test.
Wika naman ng mambabatas na dama nila ang diskriminasyon mula sa ilang taong hindi nauunawaan ang kaniyang kalagayan.
Naabisuhan na ang mga doktor at iba pang tao sa pagamutan, habang na-disinfect na rin ang bahaging iyon ng ospital.
“Sen koko never entered the delivery room of makati med. he went with me sa makati med yday to be admitted not knowing he was covid positive yet. Then ritm called him around 9pm that he was positive. But he was just in the room. As soon as he found out he was positive he left me already and told my OB about his situation. For weeks now he was in self quarantine and practicing social distance. We dont even share a room for 10 days already….It was only yday that he went with me for admission coz he was also excited to see me deliver “sana” which was scheduled today at 7am But was cancelled. They required me to get a swab test first before im allowed to give birth. So he never entered the Delivery room…Even me, i didnt enter the Delivery room yet….” saad ng mensahe mula sa panig ni Pimentel.
