Nagpaabot na rin nang pagbati ang Palasyo ng Malacañang kay President-elect Ferdinand Bongbong Marcos Jr at VP-elect Sarah Duterte-Carpio matapos ang kanilang pormal na proklamasyon nitong Miyerkules sa Kongreso na tumayong National Board of Canvassers para sa halalan ngayong taon.
Sa isang statement, inihayag ni Communications Secretary Martin Andanar na ang isinagawang proclamation ceremony ng Kongreso ay marka ng panibagong historic milestone sa pulitika bilang isang bansa.
Tiniyak ni Andanar na masusing makikipagtulungan ang Presidential Transition Committee sa kampo ni President-elect Marcos para sa mapayapa, maayos at smooth na transition ng adminsitrasyon.
Muling nanawagan din ito sa publiko para suportahan ang bagong halal na pangulo ng Republika ng Pilipinas.
“We congratulate Mr. Ferdinand Romualdez Marcos, Jr. and Ms. Inday Sara Duterte-Carpio on their electoral victory and for their proclamation as President-elect of the Philippines and Vice President-elect of the Philippines, respectively,” ani Andanar.
“Today’s proclamation ceremony by Congress marks another historic milestone in our political life as a nation underscoring that we are, indeed, a showcase and beacon of democracy in this part of the world.”
Nitong Miyerkules ng gabi pormal na iprinoklama ng Kongreso si Marcos bilang ika-17 pangulo ng Pilipinas at si Duterte-Carpio bilang ika-15 bise presidente ng Pilipinas.
