Inaasahang maisumite sa araw ng Lunes, Marso 17 ang paliwanag ng kampo ng gobyerno sa kautusan ng Korte Suprema na ipaliwanag ang pag-aresto, pagdetine at pagpapasakamay kay dating Pangulong Rodrigo Duterte sa International Criminal Court (ICC).
Ito ay inaasahang isusumite ni Solicitor General Menardo Guevarra na siyang tumanggap ng isinilbing kopiya ng order ngayong hapon ng Biyernes, Marso 14.
Matatandaan na laman ng show cause order na inisyu ng SC noong Huwebes ng gabi ang order to explain matapos aksyunan ang 3 habeas copus petition na inihain ng mga anak ng dating Pangulo na sina Davao City Mayor Sebastian “Baste” Duterte at Veronica “Kitty” Duterte noong Marso 12.
Binigyan ng korte ang gobyerno ng 24 oras para tumugon dito, pero dahil sa nataong weekend ang deadline, maaaring maisumite ng mga respondent ang kanilang explanation sa Lunes.
Maliban kay Guevarra, kabilang pa sa mga respondent ay sina Executive Secretary Lucas Bersamin, Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) Secretary Jonvic Remulla, Philippine National Police (PNP) Chief General Rommel Marbil, PNP-CIDG chief Gen. Nicolas Torre III , Foreign Affairs Secretary Enrique Manalo, Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) Chief of Staff Romeo Brawner Jr., Executive Director of the Philippine Center on Transnational Crime (PCTC) Undersecretary Lt. Gen. Antonio Alcantara, Capt. Johnny Gulla at Bureau of Immigration (BI).
